On Friday 29th November, John Middleton and Dementia Forward will host a festive evening in Ripon centred around Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, A Christmas Carol.
The festive tale will be narrated by John Middleton, well known for his roles in Emmerdale and Coronation Street, and currently starring in Hollyoaks.
The performance will be accompanied by live music from the Yorkshire Decibelles and talented young opera singers, creating an atmospheric and festive celebration to mark the start of the season.
Guests will be welcomed with refreshments on arrival, included in the ticket price of £15.
John Middleton, a patron of Dementia Forward since playing the role of Ashley Thomas in Emmerdale (a character who was diagnosed with dementia), said:
“I’m delighted to take part in this festive event for this vital organisation’.
The evening promises to be both moving and joyful, bringing the spirit of Dickens’ story to life while raising funds for Dementia Forward, the leading local dementia charity.
The event is kindly supported by Ripon Cathedral C3.
A Christmas Carol, St John’s Church, Sharow, Ripon takes place on Friday 29 November, from 7pm. Tickets are £15 (including refreshments). To book, visit the Events page on the Dementia Forward website – www.dementiaforward.org.uk – or call 01765 601224.
