A vineyard near Harrogate is set to host a Food and Wine Fair this weekend.
Dunesforde Vineyard in Upper Dunsforth in between York and Harrogate is hosting the event on Saturday (5th April) from 12pm to 6pm.
The fair is free to attend and will see handpicked local artisan food businesses showcasing their products, alongside the vineyard’s own award-winning wine.
Dunesforde, the current home of the UK’s ‘best single varietal white wine,’ will host the family-friendly event, giving visitors the chance to browse stalls and to sample food and wine.
Dunesforde’s Head of Wine Development, Peter Townsend, will also be hosting free short talks throughout the afternoon where visitors will hear the story of the vineyard, how the wines are made, learn about food pairing and sample the produce.
He said:
“Our first Food & Wine Fair last year was such a brilliant day and we can’t wait to welcome guests back and hopefully new visitors to the vineyard too.
“We love local produce at Dunesforde and the combination of delicious artisan food and our award-winning wines will definitely make for a fantastic afternoon.
“We can’t wait to see you there!”
There will be food to eat at the fair and also treats to take home from new and returning local artisan food and drink businesses.
