A popular vineyard between Harrogate and York is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Dunesforde Vineyard is hosting a celebratory Food and Wine Fair on Saturday 18th April from 12pm to 6pm.
Free to attend, the event will bring together a curated selection of local artisan food businesses, alongside the vineyard’s own award-winning wine.
The fair marks a decade since the Townsend family first planted the vines in 2016 in their home village of Upper Dunsforth.
Peter Townsend, Head of Wine Development at Dunesforde Vineyard, said:
“We can’t wait to welcome guests to this year’s Food & Wine Fair. It is always such a brilliant, family-friendly day with a great atmosphere.
“This year, it’s going to be even bigger and better to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We can’t believe how far we have come in a relatively short amount of time for a vineyard.
“Our wines are now winning international awards and being served in top restaurants around the country. The fair is a wonderful opportunity for people to experience them right here at the vineyard.”
The four-acre vineyard is home to 6,000 vines and four distinct grape varieties, selected to suit the cool climate and to deliver exceptional quality.
The vineyard will be on show for all visitors to the Food & Wine Fair, as well as a new mural in its Cellar Bar by local artist, Lynn Ward.
Lynn’s incredible new painting depicts an ancient wine cellar and makes you feel as though you are part of the painting. It really must be seen to be believed.
The Food & Wine Fair marks the start of the new season for the vineyard with the Cellar Bar and Terrace open from 24th April on Fridays from 12pm to 6pm and on Saturdays from 12pm to 8pm.
Tables can be booked online. More information on the fair can be found here: dunesforde.com/food-and-wine-fair
