St Michael's Hospice open gardens to public as part of special event A Harrogate hospice care charity is inviting neighbours and supporters to a special Open Garden event in its hospice grounds next month. On Sunday 2nd July, Saint Michael’s is hosting a chance for people to visit the tranquil grounds at its Crimple House Hospice on Hornbeam Park, between 11am and 3pm. Visitors can admire the handiwork and dedication of the volunteer gardening team, see the hospice’s ‘secret’ viewpoint and enjoy the beauty of this special space. The event will include refreshments on the terrace overlooking Crimple Valley, a raffle, mindful craft activities, live music from the Spa Town Ukes, a plant sale and also the chance to find out about the charity’s services, forthcoming events, and volunteering opportunities. Gardening volunteers will also be on hand to talk about their future plans for areas of the gardens. Saint Michael’s Chief Executive Tony Collins said:
"Our Crimple House Hospice is just one of many places we provide our care and support from, and our resourceful gardening volunteers work hard to keep our grounds looking so attractive - patients and families to the hospice often remark on the beautiful setting and stunning views. "This event is an opportunity for us to welcome both new and familiar faces to enjoy a moment of peace and relaxation in our hospice gardens."Entry is free with donations welcome for refreshments and activities. *Please note, assistance dogs only and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
