Harrogate BID has announced that the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen, will return as the star judge for the Harrogate Dog Show 2026.
Amanda, best known for her work on popular TV programmes including Our Yorkshire Farm, has been a huge hit at previous years’ events.
Harrogate BID said is "thrilled" to be welcoming her back to the town centre once again, with Amanda saying she is looking forward to returning to the event.
She will take centre stage at this year’s event, which returns to the Piazza outside the Victoria Shopping Centre on Saturday 11 April, bringing with it a packed programme of dog show categories and family-friendly entertainment.
Bethany Allen, Operations Manager at Harrogate BID, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Amanda Owen back as our star judge for the Harrogate Dog Show 2026.”
“Amanda was incredibly popular with visitors and entrants in previous years, and having her return is a real highlight for the event. The Dog Show continues to grow year-on-year, and we’re looking forward to delivering another fantastic day for our businesses, residents and visitors.”
Entries for each of the competition categories will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with registration opening at 10am on the day. Classes are set to begin from 11am.
Alongside the show, visitors can also enjoy a dog-themed market on Cambridge Street, featuring a range of stalls offering treats, accessories and gifts for dogs and their owners.
The Harrogate Dog Show is delivered by Harrogate BID in association with Your Harrogate Radio and Victoria Shopping Centre, helping to drive footfall and create a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere in the town centre.
