A team of six men are set to embark on an epic 600-mile cycling challenge in aid of Candlelighters Children's Cancer Charity.
Headed up by Miles Dewhurst, Owner and CEO of Yorkshire Spa Retreat, the team will cycle along the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland, tackling 30,000 feet of climbs over the course of six days.
From Mizen Head in the south to Malin Head in the Inishowen Peninsula in the north, the ride will push the riders to their limits physically and mentally.
They’re supporting Candlelighters, a charity that provides essential support to children and families who are battling childhood cancer all over Yorkshire.
The group said:
“We aim to raise £20,000 for Candlelighters, and we need your help to get there!
“Every penny raised will go directly to the charity, helping to fund its crucial services, which include emotional, practical, and financial support for families going through the unimaginable.”
The team of six is made up of:
- Miles Dewhurst – Owner and CEO of Yorkshire Spa Retreat
- Ed Dewhurst – Miles’ son, taking on this challenge to support the cause
- Gary Molloy – CEO of Leisure Resorts
- James Gourlay – Managing Director at Leisure Park Solutions
- Andy Mair – A passionate supporter of Candlelighters, driven by a desire to make a difference
- Derek Beaumont - Owner AB Sundecks Ltd and Leigh Leopards Super League Club
