A Ripon bridal business has been recognised on the national stage after winning a prestigious award.
Gail’s Wedding Boutique, owned by local seamstress-turned-businesswoman Gail Byrne, has been named Best Wedding Dress Shop at the Business Awards UK.
The independent boutique, based in Ripon, was announced as the winner on Friday (12th September).
Reacting to the win, owner Gail Byrne said:
"From starting out as a seamstress to opening my own boutique, I never imagined we’d be recognised on a national level.
"This little shop in Ripon has come such a long way, and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing brides, grooms and families who’ve trusted me with their special day.”
She added that the award was a milestone not just for her, but for everyone who has supported the business over the years.

Gail's (centre) family and friends held a party to celebrate her award win.
Gail’s Wedding Boutique specialises in bridal gowns and wedding accessories and has built a reputation for serving brides and families across Ripon and the wider area.
