A renewed appeal has been launched for missing Ripon dog Ella as the 6-month search continues.
The eight-year-old Cocker Spaniel went missing on 13th October 2023.
Both Ella and her young sister, Holly, were in a group of dogs with a professional dog walker in the Clotherholme Road area when the pair went missing.
3-year-old Holly was found shortly after, but Ella was not.
Despite the time that has elapsed, Ella’s owners, Jo and Andy Coombs, are continuing the search for their beloved pooch.
Jen Bee, one of those who has joined the search, said:
“Following extensive ground-searching techniques and utilising specialist equipment, sadly there has been no positive confirmed sightings of Ella.
“Whilst we ask that the local community stay vigilant, we are strongly considering that Ella may be a victim of theft by finding, therefore we must broaden the search nationwide.”

A Facebook group, 'Eyes Open for Ella', has been created to aid the search.
Jen added:
“There is a finders fee for information leading to Ella’s safe return. Has someone in your neighbour acquired a dog like Ella in the last 5 months?”
Anyone with information should call the team on 07708382130.
