New Park Primary School in Harrogate is excited to announce a series of free Forest School sessions for preschool-aged children and their parents, starting Wednesday, October 1st.
Following the success of its Forest School program launched last year, New Park is opening its woodland learning experience to younger children in the community.
Throughout the school year, every child in the school completes a six-week block of Forest School activities, where they develop resilience, confidence in risk-taking, and holistic growth through outdoor learning.
The upcoming sessions will be led by Hollie Bailey, a qualified Forest School leader and teacher, who says:
“Forest School is a wonderful and unique way to build connections with local families and give children a meaningful early experience of school life. It helps them develop not only skills but a sense of curiosity and belonging.”
The Forest School approach encourages hands-on learning in a natural setting, promoting emotional and social development alongside physical and academic growth.
Pre School aged children can now take part with their parents for free
Places are limited. Families interested in registering their preschool children for the sessions are encouraged to contact the school directly.
