Around 250 university students are set to arrive in Harrogate this weekend for one of the UK's largest amateur darts tournaments.
University Darts UK (UDUK) will host its flagship Big Weekender at the Manhattan Club from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th March, marking the second consecutive year the event has been held in the town.
The competition is expected to bring together players from across the country as part of a growing university darts scene.
UDUK oversees leagues and events nationwide, with more than 1,000 students involved in its competitions.

The organisation has also produced players who have progressed to the professional stage, including PDC tour card holder Adam Warner and current player and Modus Super Series finalist James Buckby.
The Big Weekender is regarded as the organisation’s premier event, featuring a range of formats across the three days, including singles, pairs and team competitions. This year will also see the introduction of a women’s national event.
UDUK’s Chief Executive Kyle Mandell said:
“We’re very happy to have Harrogate as our home for one of the UK’s biggest amateur darts tournaments.
“The Big Weekender is our pinnacle event and we’re really excited to be welcoming well over 200 players to North Yorkshire this weekend.”
A total prize fund of £6,000 will be contested over the course of the event, with matches taking place throughout the weekend.
