Emergency crews were called to Pannal this afternoon (Thursday) after a wind turbine was struck by lightning.
The fire service were alerted just before 2:30pm after reports of the lightning strike in Pannal Green.
A service spokesperson said:
"A crew from Harrogate and Wetherby responded to a report of a lightning strike to an external wind turbine.
"Fire crew stood by while a turbine engineer investigated the fusebox.
"No other fire found inside premises after investigation with the fusebox believed to have done its job and preventing further damage following the strike."
