An initiative to offer free Christmas dinners to people in need will be returning to Knaresborough this year.
Two Brothers Grill and Pizzeria in the Castle Courtyard will be welcoming people in need on 25th December for a free Christmas meal.
It was first launched in 2018 by Knaresborough resident Bruce Reid MBE at the local fire station.
Each year since, Bruce has held a free dinner in different locations to support the local community.
Bruce said:
“Everyone works hard to ensure that the event runs smoothly from start to finish and we are extremely grateful to all those donating so we can buy the food and gifts - and to all of the many volunteers who help make the day very special.”

Meals can also be delivered to those who are unable to attend.
For the meal to go ahead this year, the group has launched a JustGiving campaign with the aim of raising £750.
They’ve raised £415 towards their goal at the time of writing. Find the JustGiving page here.
A spokesperson for the group said:
"We are an ever-expanding team of people who just want to make sure that anyone who wants a Christmas Dinner in the Knaresborough area, gets to have one.
"It's a simple aim but it takes planning, funds and lots of people on hand - so we are reaching out and asking for your help to make this happen."
If you’d like to book a meal or volunteer your time, email Knaresboroughcdd@gmail.com or call Bruce on 07958653084
