The annual Knaresborough Beer Festival is back this weekend, organised by Knaresborough Lions.
The event runs from 5pm on Friday (16th August) until the afternoon on Sunday (18th August) at Knaresborough House.
Visitors will be given the choice of over 20 beers and 7 ciders, alongside lager, Prosecco, Aperol Spritz, wine, non-alcoholic drinks and a burger bar.
A range of styles will be available to suits all tastes from Yorkshire breweries and those further afield, with drinkers able to enjoy the likes of Sussex Best Bitter from Harvey’s of Lewes to a milk stout from the Bristol Beer Factory.
The two Assassin variants from Rooster’s are expected to be particularly popular among beer drinkers.
Club President Jon Smithells said:
“We’re hoping the sun stays out for the weekend.
“Our profits from the festival help finance Picnic in the Park, so we’re looking forward to people being able to enjoy the live music with a delicious pint in hand.”
Jon added:
“We’d like to thank all our generous barrel sponsors, local breweries and pubs who help with the event, and particularly Ian Fozard from Rooster’s Brewery who has come up once again with a fantastic choice of beer and cider for people to try.”
There is no charge to get in and visitors can buy a value starter pack of 6 tokens, plus a commemorative polycarbonate glass, for £14 which will entitle them to three pints.
Otherwise, tokens will be on sale for £2 each with all pints priced at £4.
Sessions run from Friday 5pm-11pm, Saturday midday-11pm and Sunday midday-3pm (or until the beer runs out).
There will be musical entertainment on both evenings and the traditional visit from the town’s Silver Band on the Sunday.
