Nancy Buckle, Knaresborough Town Crier between 1997 and 2000, passed away peacefully on 4th September 2025.
The news was announced by the Knaresborough Town Criers on social media this morning, commenting that Nancy was a 'much loved' lady who was proud to have been the Knaresborough Town Crier.
She passed away on 4th September, aged 90, as a cherished member of the community and will be 'remembered for her warmth, spirit, and the joy she brought to many through her role and presence in the town'.
Nancy's funeral will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Knaresborough, on Wednesday 8th October at 1:00pm and all are warmly welcome to attend.
Guests have been asked to wear a hint of lilac colour in her memory.
