It was another successful 'Party in the Castle' in Knaresborough over the weekend, with hundreds in attendance to watch Glastonbury on the big screen.
The free event was in danger of cancellation after funding was cut by North Yorkshire Council.
However, after a successful fundraising campaign raised £5,000, the 6-hour party went ahead on Saturday (28th June).
It was organised by Knaresborough & District Chamber.
A spokesperson said:
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible — volunteers, organisers, performers, stallholders and all who came along.
"A special thanks to everyone who contributed donations — your help means a lot.”
One attendee said:
“[It was an] absolutely great evening. It’s nights like this that makes Knaresborough special.
“Thanks to everyone who organised the event and everyone who attended and made it a fantastic social gathering.”
