The much loved café, Hoxton North on Royal Parade announced today that they will be closing.
Owner, Tim took to social media today to share the news that after 13 years in business, the café would be closing permanently.
Victoria and Timothy Bosworth, opened their original shop on Parliament Street in 2013.
The pair then bought their current site on Royal Parade.
Tim shared the couple's reasoning for closing the café, saying:
"After nearly 13 incredible years, I’ve made the very difficult decision that Hoxton North will be closing at the end of the month.
"This has not been an easy decision.
"We have worked hard over the years to adapt and evolve, but the operating environment and increased ongoing costs for small independent hospitality businesses have become increasingly challenging.
"Hoxton North has always been about more than just food and coffee.
"It has been about connecting, sharing stories, and bringing a little bit of London spirit to the North."
He continued:
"I am incredibly proud of what we have built and deeply grateful to every customer, team member, supplier, and friend who has supported us along the way.
"Over the coming weeks, we will continue serving our customers and sharing the space we’ve all been part of for so many years."
Despite the coffee shop closing, the couple's newest venture on Cold Bath Road is set to remain open and flourish.
North Slice opened last October, offering Neapolitan pizza, whole or by the slice.
Tim is encouraging loyal customers to follow their journey by visiting North Slice Pizza.
