A legendary actor known for popular 80's sitcom Hi-de-Hi is joining us on Your Harrogate Radio this weekend.
Jeffrey Holland, who played Spike Dixon in the hit BBC series, will join David Whittle on air tomorrow afternoon (Saturday).
Jeffrey has been at The Bookshop in Otley this week talking about his new book 'The First Rule of Comedy.'
Written in collaboration with Britain’s comedy historian, Robert Ross, producer and presenter of the hugely successful touring show Jeffrey Holland: Comedy Friends and Heroes, this unique memoir reveals the hilarious tales from Holland’s long and illustrious career, from the comedy greats that have inspired him to the comedy colleagues with whom he has worked.

As well as Hi-de-Hi, Jeffrey also played footman James Twelvetrees in the hugely successful 'You Rang M’Lord?' and Mr. Parkin the Stationmaster in 'Oh, Dr. Beeching!'
His other TV work includes 'Are You Being Served?', 'Dad’s Army,' 'The Mayor of Casterbridge' and 'Russ Abbot’s Madhouse.'
You can listen to David Whittle's chat with Jeffery tomorrow below.
Jeffrey's book is available from The Bookshop on the Square Bookshop UK.
