A Harrogate woman has launched a new decluttering businesses, offering her expertise to homes across North Yorkshire.
Decluttering and organisation expert Gemma Willerton is aiming to help “transform chaotic spaces into calm, functional homes.”
Gemma’s services also extend beyond home organisation to include wardrobe curation, capsule wardrobes and sustainable fashion advice.
Clients can also take advantage of her “circular economy” service, ensuring unwanted items find new homes rather than ending up in landfill.
Before embarking on this new venture, Gemma managed a high-end retailer on James Street in Harrogate as manager, personal shopper, in-store stylist and event organiser for 20 years.
She draws on her own personal experience to approach each project with empathy and without judgment.
She said:
"When I first met my now husband... I came with a lot of stuff! He came with two cushions and a candle!
“We were opposites but we had to meet in the middle. Weirdly, his cushions and candle were the first things to go!
“We have now built a home that gives us the perfect balance between stuff and space.
“I can say from personal experience, the process of letting go is so liberating, and I would love to help you feel the same way."
Gemma said she embraces the three R's—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—through decluttering to both “revitalise” living spaces and contribute positively to mental health and the environment.
