Harrogate Town have confirmed the signing of Bobby Faulkner, who arrives on a season-long loan from Doncaster Rovers.
The centre half sealed a new deal at The Eco-Power Stadium just a few weeks ago before joining up with Simon Weaver’s side.
The Doncaster-born defender has spent his entire career at his hometown club, signing his first professional contract in November 2021.
Faulkner would make his Doncaster debut in August 2022, putting in a Man of the Match performance during a 1-0 win at Northampton.
Town’s newest addition has also gained first team experience on loan at Frickley, Worksop, Spennymoor, Dundalk and Buxton.
Head of Player Recruitment Lloyd Kerry said:
“He’s aggressive, likes to defend, is dominant in the air and puts his body on the line for the cause.
“He always wants to win his aerial duals, defends his box well, is mobile and covers the ground well so we’re really pleased to have him on board.
“He’ll provide competition for places and wants to come here to play so we expect him to push Tom Bradbury and Anthony O’Connor all the way.”
The 20-year-old will wear the number 20 shirt at Town.
Meanwhile Harrogate Town Academy forward Jack Bray has completed a permanent transfer to Championship side West Bromwich Albion.
The 18-year-old was offered a professional contract with the club following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, but has chosen to pursue his career elsewhere.
Bray joined the club's Academy at the start of the 2023/24 season and immediately showcased his talents with a string of impressive performances for the club’s U18 side.
The forward then caught the eye during Town’s 2024 FA Youth Cup run with outstanding displays against Birmingham City and The Baggies.
Jack was crowned Management Player of the Year at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, a season that also saw the youngster make his professional debut for the club.
