Fitness enthusiasts across Harrogate are invited to take part in a new challenge event this September, with options for all abilities and fitness levels.
The ANYROCKS Challenge will take place on Saturday 6th September at the Harrogate Leisure and Wellbeing Hub, open exclusively to members of Active North Yorkshire leisure centres.
The event is free to enter, and participants can choose between competitive or relaxed formats.
Running from 7am to 1pm, the challenge features a series of fitness stations including running, rowing, ski erg, squat presses, and other high-energy activities.
Participants can enter either the singles or doubles categories. In the doubles category, members are allowed to bring a non-member guest for free, making it a social as well as physical event.
Organisers say the event is designed to appeal to a wide range of abilities.
The competitive sessions will be timed, while the relaxed sessions allow for participants to modify, skip or pace the challenges to suit their comfort level.
Timetable:
- 7am–8:30am – Competitive Singles
- 8:30am–10am – Competitive Doubles
- 10am–11:30am – Relaxed Singles
- 11:30am–1pm – Relaxed Doubles
The full exercise lineup includes:
- 1 kilometre run (repeated multiple times)
- 100m ski erg
- 50 squat presses
- 100m row
- 200m farmer’s carry
- 100m sandbag lunges
- 100m wall balls
Booking is essential. Active North Yorkshire members can sign up by emailing the organisers with their name and category choice. Only one booking is needed for doubles teams.
