The opening of Harrogate's new Tesco store on Skipton Road has been delayed until next week.
Delays to the construction of the car park means the supermarket will now welcome customers on Tuesday 9th December.
Tesco had originally aimed to open the new Harrogate branch before the launch of Harrogate's Christmas Fayre on Friday (5th December).
But the scheme has experienced further delays.
Construction work includes widening Skipton Road, surfacing works, junction alterations and a temporary one-way system to allow for the development of the store and its access.
Works began in August and was originally planned to last around ten weeks, however progress has been subject to repeated delays and adjustments.

In addition to the existing one-way traffic arrangements on Skipton Road, there will be one final full road closure between 6:30pm and 12pm tonight (3rd December).
This closure will affect Skipton Road, Harewood Road and the roundabout with the A61.
Access to Harrogate Retail Park will still be maintained. Noisy activities will cease by 11pm.
