A Harrogate school has received 50 hi-vis vests from the team at Specsavers to ensure pupils stay visible this winter.
Saltergate School has received the thoughtful donation, with the days getting shorter and darker.
They’ll ensure the safety of the children on trips off school grounds - be it walking to and from school, attending community events or educational outings.
Jo Hall, Headteacher at Saltergate School, said:
"We are grateful to the team at Specsavers Harrogate for generously providing our pupils with hi-vis vests.
"They’re a welcomed asset to our uniform and ensure the children are safe and visible during these short winter days.
"The vests will continue to be used throughout the school year, whether it’s on school trips, walking to and from school, or visiting the town, ensuring our children are always visible and safe."
Andy Bryer, retail director at Specsavers Harrogate, said:
"At Specsavers, visibility matters – it’s what we do. We’re always on the look out for different ways to support our community, and donations such as this allow us to ensure children are visible and safe in these darker months.
"We hope the vests bring peace of mind to parents and teachers throughout the school year and continue to be used to keep the pupils safe on various school outings."
