Former Railway Ladies footballer Dee Swales was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. After chemotherapy, a mastectomy and radiotherapy, the next stage of her treatment - SABR radiotherapy - is not available on the NHS. And in order to help raise the £11,000 Dee needs, Railway hosted a Ladies Day on Saturday (6th August). “Let’s not forget this was a celebration of Ladies football but also to support Dee in her battle against cancer. “All donations will be going towards her treatment, so every penny you have kindly donated counts.”The day saw both Harrogate Railway Ladies’ first and reserve teams in action. The campaign's JustGiving page will be left open for any last minute donations. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
