Harrogate Keyboard Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week.
The Keyboard Club, formerly the Organ Society, is hosting a free event on Thursday (17th October) at The Manhatten Club, with Mark Thompson set to perform.
Steve Caldwell of Harrogate Keyboard Club said:
“The amazing skills of Mark Thompson will be on display as he makes a welcome return to the Manhatten Club.
“It will be great to see him again and, I'm sure, enjoy his choice of music.
“Why not come along, support our club and enjoy a great evening of live music and a perfect way to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
“We need your support to enable the club to continue into the future.”
For 50 years the club has hostly monthly live concerts on the third Thursday of each month.
Entry to the concerts is charged at £8 per person, with music including Big Band, Latin, Film Themes, Classics and Jazz, to some more traditional organ sounds.
Steve said:
“Our friendly audience is made up of some club members, many of whom play keyboards for fun at home - and who are always happy to share tips and advice on playing, and pass on information about the latest instruments and equipment.
“We also have a great many other people who don't play, but just enjoy fantastic live music. A real mix of friends and a terrific atmosphere every month.”
The Manhattan Club offers bar facilities and free off-street car parking on Beech Avenue.
