An elite squad from Harrogate Shotokan Karate Club have triumphed at the Central England Open Championships.
The team travelled to Worcester University to compete in the championships in what is the largest open karate competition of the year.
The prestigious event features over 1,000 competitors from all over Europe.
And a number of Harrogate competitors bagged gold, silver and bronze medals.

The team was led by Harrogate Chief Instructor Matt Price, a former World Karate Champion, with assistance from club coaches Zoe Price and Tom Little.
Harrogate Shotokan Karate Club won 2 Golds, 2 Silvers, and 4 Bronzes.

- Gold for Zoe Price in the +35 years Mixed Kata.
- Gold for Jonty Price in the 10-11 years Boys Team Kumite.
- Silver for Isobel McGowan in the Junior Female Team Kumite.
- Silver for Alexandra Ivanics in the 10-11 years Female Team Kumite.
- Bronze for Kate Hambleton in the Senior Ladies Kumite.
- Bronze for Isobel McGowan in the Junior Female Kumite.
- Bronze for Jonty Price in the 10-11 years Boys Kumite.
- Bronze for Emily Harrison and Issy Cox in the 12-13 years Team Kumite.
