Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity is set to host a glittering birthday ball to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The registered charity supporting Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust was established on 16th October 1995.
It has since spent three decades enhancing healthcare services and supporting staff wellbeing beyond the scope of NHS funding.
The milestone will be celebrated with a black-tie Birthday Ball on Friday 17th October at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Harrogate Majestic Hotel & Spa.
Guests are invited for arrival drinks from 6.30pm ahead of a 7pm start.
The evening will feature a three-course meal, welcome refreshments, entertainment and a silent auction offering luxury prizes.
All proceeds from the event will be used to fund new cancer diagnostic equipment, specifically AI-powered technology for the Histopathology Service.
This advanced system is designed to analyse breast cancer markers at the molecular level, thereby enabling clinicians to make more informed treatment decisions and reducing diagnosis times.
Attending the event
Local businesses and community groups are being encouraged to participate, with both full table packages and individual tickets available.
Tables of up to 10 guests will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, while single ticket options aim to accommodate those unable to secure a full table.
Attendees are urged to book by Wednesday 10th September 2025 by emailing the HHCC team at hdft.hhcc@nhs.net or visiting their event page.
Fundraising
HHCC’s 30th year has already seen a range of fundraising and community events.
Earlier this year, the charity hosted a Stepathon during National Volunteer Week and launched its ‘Stepping Up Community’ fundraising initiative.
May 2025 saw supporters tackling the National Three Peaks Challenge, a demanding event spanning Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in under 24 hours.
Partnerships with local firms, including Raworths, which has pledged support through 2025–26, further highlight the community’s engagement in this celebratory year.
As well as commemorating past achievements, the gala Ball promises to be a memorable evening of celebration and generosity, with supporters coming together in style to ensure HHCC continues its mission into the next 30 years.
