Two Harrogate pupils have been named as the winners of a young artist competition.
The contest, hosted by Rotary Club of Harrogate, invited youngsters across the area to submit their artwork following this year’s theme of 'water.'
Breanne Loken from Ashville School was named as the Senior category winner for her work entitled ‘Kingfisher.’
The Junior winner was Varsha Parthian from Rossett Acre Primary School.

Both Breanne and Varsha received £50 and £100 for their schools.
And as an added bonus, both girls have also been selected as district winners and will go on to contest the National Finals.
Ann Percival of Rotary Club of Harrogate said:
“This is the first year we have done this, so we are over the moon!”
