A care professional from Carefound Home Care Harrogate has been recognised for her outstanding commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Kelly Peacock was nominated by her colleagues for Carefound Home Care’s PLATO award for going above and beyond in improving the lives of the older people she supports at home, particularly those living with dementia.
One of Kelly’s initiatives has been creating scrapbooks for her clients, capturing memories from their days out together.
These scrapbooks help people revisit special moments and enjoy sharing them with their families.
She also regularly takes her clients on outings to places they love, such as Studley Royal, Ripon Prison & Police Museum, and Big Sheep & Little Cow Farm in Bedale.
Knowing the positive impact spending time with pets can have, Kelly has even taken her dogs to visit some of her clients.
Kelly’s exceptional standard of care was recently recognised by a local GP after she accompanied her client to an appointment.
The GP contacted Kelly’s manager to personally praise her professionalism, compassion and the way she interacted with her client.
