The Harrogate BID team will be in attendance at the Great Yorkshire Show this week to promote the town as a must-visit destination.
The Business Improvement District (BID) team have chosen to host their own stand at the show this year, with local organisations including the Turkish Baths, Three’s A Crowd, Richard Grafton, The Crown Hotel and Neuhaus Chocolates joining the team on the stall.
The BID is at the Great Yorkshire Show to offer promotion of Harrogate and its town centre to a wider audience and offer return in investment to its BID Members, as well as promoting the footfall and spend increasing campaigns it hosts, in line with the ‘A Vibrant Town’ objective in its term 2 Business Plan.
Bethany Allen, Operations and Projects Executive at Harrogate BID, said:
“We’re thrilled to be attending the show again this year, offering exposure to tens of thousands of people on each of the days!
“It’s a fantastic chance for us to shout about all things Harrogate and promote our town as the jewel in Yorkshire’s crown to a wider audience.
“If you’re passing, make sure you head into our stall to take on the ‘Spin the Wheel’ and check out what’s on offer…”
The team are hosting a ‘Spin the Wheel’ activity during their time at the show, with a range of prizes on offer donated by different businesses in Harrogate – along with Harrogate Gift Cards available to spend in almost 100 businesses within the town centre.
The dedicated BID stand is situated on the outer area of the Main Ring and will be in place for all four days of the show.
The BID said it recognises that the Great Yorkshire Show can sometimes be a quieter week for retailers within the town centre.
So they're keen to use it as an opportunity to encourage visitors to the show back into Harrogate to grab a bite to eat, do a bit of shopping or even consider visiting the North Yorkshire town at a later date.
