Harrogate BID (Business Improvement District) has opened applications for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation's work from 2024 to 2028.
It follows the departure of previous CEO Matthew Chapman, who left the role in June.
The BID represents around 500 businesses in the town centre and focuses on promoting and developing Harrogate as a place to live, work, and visit.
The job description reads:
“As CEO, you’ll be the public face and driving force of the organisation – forging strong partnerships, championing the business community, managing the team and contractors, and ensuring projects and services deliver real, measurable impact.”
The role also includes financial oversight and strategic planning to ensure that services deliver measurable outcomes for the town’s business community.
Applicants are expected to have senior leadership experience in fields such as business improvement districts, town centre management, or economic development.
Skills in communication, stakeholder engagement, project delivery, and financial management are also sought.
The deadline for applications is Friday 5th September 2025, with interviews scheduled for 22nd and 23rd September 2025.
Interested individuals are asked to submit a CV and a covering letter outlining their suitability for the role.
