Grewelthorpe CE Primary School near Ripon is celebrating double inspection success.
The school welcomed Ofsted and SIAMS inspectors in recent weeks - and has received a ‘Good’ rating in both cases.
Ofsted inspectors praised the school’s reading, writing and phonics provision, and also the “diligent” work the school does with families.
They said:
“The school provides opportunities to support and enrich pupils’ personal development.
“Pupils benefit from high-quality pastoral care. From the early years, staff support pupils in developing their social skills, following established routines and behaving well.
“The school ensures that pupils learn to stay safe, including when online. They highlight risks in the local community such as making pupils aware of how to stay safe on the moors and around farm machinery.”
SIAMS inspectors noted the school’s “inspirational” use of surroundings and the “multitude of experiences” presented to the children to become rounded learners who “grow and flourish.”
Grewelthorpe Headteacher Mrs Katie Barker said:
“I am delighted with the outcome of this Ofsted inspection.
“The report reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm and positivity of our pupils and the commitment we all share to deliver the best possible education for every child."
