A Harrogate district primary school is set to celebrate its 150th birthday.
Green Hammerton Primary School is celebrating the milestone with a party on Friday (12th July) - including a “visit from the circus”.
'Circus Sensible' will be putting up their big top on the field and hosting circus workshops throughout the day.
The school's PTA, Friends of Green Hammerton School, will provide refreshments, games and a raffle to raise money for the school funds.

As part of the school’s celebrations, they’re also hosting ‘150 fortnight’ for the last two weeks of term which will include a Victorian Day, pupils taking part in ‘150 challenges’ and assembling a time capsule.
Families and friends of the school are also able to buy the school a birthday present from their Amazon Wishlist.
These include items such as books, jigsaws, learning aids and other classroom essentials.
A spokesperson for the school said:
"Children and staff dressed in Victorian attire, the original school bell was rung on arrival and the children had to follow some Victorian school rules!
"Boys lined up at the front, girls at the back, they stood when an adult comes into the room, wore a Dunces hat if they got something wrong and tried to avoid the cane!"

The spokesperson added:
"Activities included making butter from cream, playing Victorian games, botanical drawing, chanting times tables and hand writing practice.
"They also enjoyed a special Victorian lunch of mince stew and Yorkshire puddings followed by Victoria sponge cake."
Next week, the school plans to plant a time capsule on site. This will be opened on the school's 200th anniversary.
