Four weeks of electrical works are set to get underway on Queens Road in Harrogate today (Monday).
Northern Powergrid has been carrying out works across Harrogate in recent weeks in a bid to future-proof the town’s electricity network.
And following the completion of works on Cold Bath Road, they’re now starting on Queens Road.
The road will be closed for four weeks and is expected to reopen on Sunday 29th June.
Northern Powergrid is carrying out a programme of work with the aim of ensuring the local network in Harrogate has the capacity to support future demand.
The company, which is responsible for the network for eight million customers in the North, said Harrogate needs this investment as the demand on the town’s power network is predicted to increase significantly between now and 2050.
