First ever 'Jail and Bail' event raises £9,000 for St Michael's Hospice Your Harrogate’s first ever ‘Jail and Bail’ event has raised more than £9,000 for St Michael’s Hospice. The event saw ten well-known Harrogate figures ‘locked up’ and tasked with raising £500 in bail money for the charity. The group donned orange jumpsuits and gathered at The Harrogate Inn for mugshots and yard work before hitting the phones to fundraise. We hosted representatives from Harrogate BID, The Crown Hotel, Crown Jewellers, Harrogate Neighbours, Harrogate Town, Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre, Redline Specialist Cars, Vida Healthcare, Rudding Park Hotel, O’Connor Chiropractic and Matt Reeder Media. At the time of publication, the fundraising total stands at £9,238 - and it's rising all the time. “We've raised the target so many times because of how they've all done! A huge thank you to everyone who has taken part today and for all the shares and likes, and every donation that has been made. "We've had great fun but on a serious note, our local hospice provides care for people with terminal illnesses and to their families, and events like these make a difference. "We rely on our community for voluntary donations and couldn't sustain the services that we offer in our community without fundraising, so thank you."Contribute to our Jail or Bail fundraiser here.
