A stunning 12-foot poppy dress has been unveiled ahead of Ripon’s annual remembrance concert.
The dress, adorned with hundreds of handcrafted poppies, has been created by Ripon Community Poppy Project.
It’s been crafted by the group’s dedicated team of knitters, and will be worn by soprano Charlotte Potter during her performance at the concert on 6th November at Ripon Cathedral.
The poppy dress will also be available for public viewing in the front window of Specsavers on the Market Place in Ripon from 15th October, allowing the wider community to admire the artistry and meaning behind the project.
Stuart Martin of Ripon Community Poppy Project said:
"We are extremely grateful for Your Harrogate's ongoing support and a huge thanks goes to our other sponsors for the event, including MKM builders who will be sponsoring the programme and Colour It in printers who sponsor our tickets.
“We appreciate the support of all our sponsors. "
Tickets for the Remembrance Concert can now be purchased online.
