A family-run business near Harrogate that specialises in free-from food has picked up national recognition for its scotch eggs.
Voakes Free From won Product of the Year at the 2025 Free From Food Awards in London for their gluten-free Traditional Pork Scotch Egg.
The business, based at Whixley, picked up a string of gold and silver awards across multiple categories, competing alongside big-name brands like Tesco, M&S, Schär and Nomo.
The business specialises in award-winning, gluten-free pies and pastries, handmade using pork from pigs reared on their own family farm.
This recognition follows the firm’s ongoing success as a three-time Best Micro Brand of the Year.
Husband and wife team Laura and Nick Voakes run the business together, which they founded in 2012.
Nick also manages their sister company, the legendary Voakes Pies, founded by his father Andrew Voakes.
He said:
“The passion and quality behind Voakes Pies runs through everything we do at Voakes Free From.”
