The date has been set for this year's Party in the Castle event in Knaresborough.
Knaresborough Castle will again host a free-to-attend screening of Glastonbury on Saturday 28th June.
Visitors are invited to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets to the castle grounds for the event, organised through a collaboration between Knaresborough & District Chamber and North Yorkshire Council.
Although it’s partially funded by the Council, sponsors are still needed to ensure costs are covered.
A Chamber spokesperson said:
“We are proud to say this event is one of the best events in Knaresborough and it’s mainly because it’s a free community event.
“However nothing is actually free in this world. The event costs £5,000 to put on.
“We do get half the money from a locality budget from North Yorkshire Council, however we also need £250 from 10 businesses to be able to put on such a fantastic free event.”
The spokesperson added:
“We want to thank all our previous sponsors who have repeatedly sponsored us and we want to open up the opportunity for new sponsorships.”
