The date has been set for this year's Party in the Castle event in Knaresborough.
Knaresborough Castle will again host a free-to-attend screening of Glastonbury on Saturday 28th June.
Visitors are invited to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets to the castle grounds for the event, organised through a collaboration between Knaresborough & District Chamber and North Yorkshire Council.
Although it’s partially funded by the Council, sponsors are still needed to ensure costs are covered.
A Chamber spokesperson said:
“We are proud to say this event is one of the best events in Knaresborough and it’s mainly because it’s a free community event.
“However nothing is actually free in this world. The event costs £5,000 to put on.
“We do get half the money from a locality budget from North Yorkshire Council, however we also need £250 from 10 businesses to be able to put on such a fantastic free event.”
The spokesperson added:
“We want to thank all our previous sponsors who have repeatedly sponsored us and we want to open up the opportunity for new sponsorships.”
Any businesses keen to get involved are asked to contact Knaresborough Chamber via Facebook here.
