Children at a Harrogate school have done their best impressions of two Your Harrogate presenters as part of this year's Christmas play.
Pupils at Brackenfield School played radio presenters Nick Hancock and Elisa Hilton in the Infant nativity, which was full of song and dance.
And after gifting the children some radio props, Your Harrogate’s Nick Hancock went along to see the play for himself.
Local Hero Award winner Helen Leaf, who was named ‘Teacher of the Year’ last month, was back to her creative best as she lead pupils aged 3 to 11 onto the school stage.
‘Christmas in Yorkshire’ featured an original song by Miss Leaf and also contained scenes from local attractions such as Stockeld Park, Ripon Cathedral, Knaresborough Christmas Market and Bolton Abbey.
Headmaster at Brackenfield, Mr Masterson said:
“It is a tremendous privilege to work with such talented staff, including our award winning Ms Leaf.
“This Christmas we have inspired our community through our various performances and we have been inspired by our community!
“Our pupils know how to perform and they love to share their festive spirit. Merry Christmas.”
The Junior department held their annual carol service at St Wilfrid’s church and the audience were treated to a beautiful festival of lessons and carols.
As part of one of Brackenfield’s four mission areas, Community, the choir have been out and about singing and bringing festive cheer.
There have been carols sung at two local care homes, Hampden House and Manor House, places that Brackenfield visit regularly throughout the year.
They have also entertained shoppers at the Harrogate Christmas market, complete with Santa hats.
And it does not stop there! After the pupils break up for the Christmas holidays today (Friday), the choir have been invited to sing in Spa Gardens in Ripon as part of their Winter Wonderland event and also at the Radfield Home Care Christmas party.
