The categories for this year's Harrogate Dog Show have been revealed ahead of its return next month.
The popular event, which is back for fourth year on Saturday 12th April, will feature seven different categories, organised by Harrogate BID.
From ‘Handsomest Dog’ and ‘Fanciest Female’ to ‘Cutest Puppy’ and ‘Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home’ – there’s a broad range of classes for all dogs to get involved in.
There will also be the overall ‘Best in Show’ prize handed out by celebrity star judge The Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen after all of the classes have taken place.
Amanda will judge all of the categories on the day, meeting each of the entrants to help with her decision
Bethany Allen, Operations and Projects Executive at Harrogate BID, said:
“All of our categories sold out in less than an hour last year, so make sure you get down early on the day to reserve your space!
“Do you think your dog could be this year’s ‘Best in Show’? Or even the dog that Amanda would most like to take home? Well make sure you don’t miss out!
“We can’t wait to bring back this excellent event to our town centre and look forward to seeing all of you and your furry friends for some fantastic fun!”
Registration for the categories will open at 10am on the day, with classes set to begin from 11am.
These will be available on a first come, first served basis with a limited number of entries per category.
The Mini Dog Park will be open throughout the day featuring an obstacle course open for up to 15 dogs at a time.
Any businesses wishing to join the dog friendly scheme should contact the BID team on info@harrogatebid.co.uk
