Bilton pool star wins two titles at national tournament

A talented Bilton pool player has been crowned a double champion at the British Regions Tournament (BRT) Summer Singles 2026.

Caitlyn Heptinstall, representing the Northeast, claimed both the Women's Singles and Women's Doubles titles at the national tournament, held at the Royal Sports Lounge in Farnworth on 25th and 26th July.

Caitlyn defeated Eleanor Birden, of the Northwest, in the Women's Singles final to lift the title after progressing through a strong field of regional players from across Britain.

She then completed a memorable weekend by teaming up with Beth Hutson of York to win the Women's Doubles title, with Hanna Hameed and Georgia Worsfold finishing as runners-up.

The British Regions Tournament is one of the UK's leading regional pool competitions, bringing together the country's top county and regional players to compete across a range of events.

Women's Singles:

Winner: Caitlyn Heptinstall (Northeast)
Runner-up: Eleanor Birden (Northwest)
Semi-finalists: Hanna Hameed (Northwest) and Olivia Windus (Wales & Southwest)

Women's Doubles:

Winners: Caitlyn Heptinstall & Beth Hutson (Northeast)
Runners-up: Hanna Hameed & Georgia Worsfold (Northwest)
