A 45-year-old man from Knaresborough has been arrested at Flamingo Land following reports of aggressive behaviour.
North Yorkshire Police were called by the attraction’s security team, who had detained a man 'behaving aggressively' on site.
When officers arrived, the man was arrested after providing a roadside breath test reading of 83 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Police added that he was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug.
In custody, he provided a lower evidential reading of 66 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
The man is due to appear before Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on 15th September, charged with driving over the legal alcohol limit and possession of a Class A drug.
