More than 100,000 covid booster jabs have been administered in Harrogate - but not all centres have remained open before New Year's Day.

More than 100,000 covid booster jabs have now been administered in the Harrogate district - but not all vaccination centres in the area have remained open before New Year's Day. Clinics at Ripon Racecourse and the Great Yorkshire Showground are now closed until Sunday 2nd January and Tuesday 4th January respectively. So where can residents get their jab before the New Year celebrations? Homecare Pharmacy site, Chain Lane Community Hub - Knaresborough The Chain Lane Community Hub has remained open in the lead up to New Year and is welcoming walk-in appointments and bookings throughout the week. The centre is open from 8am-8pm today (Thursday) and from 8pm-3pm tomorrow (Friday 31st December). People aged 16 and over are invited to grab their vaccinations, as long as there has been 12 weeks since their previous dose. Young people at greater risk of serious illness can have two doses of the vaccine eight weeks apart. The centre will then close on Saturday and reopen again on Tuesday 4th January from 8am-6pm. https://www.facebook.com/HomecarePharmacyServices/posts/388996106357120 Harrogate District Hospital Harrogate District Hospital is also offering vaccinations for all adults today (Thursday) - but these are by appointment only via the NHS National Booking Service.
