Film crews have turned their attentions to Wetherby for a new Christmas flick starring Kiefer Sutherland.
Throughout February, Knaresborough has welcomed Sutherland, alongside Danny Dyer and Rebel Wilson, to shoot films for the upcoming festive film ‘Tinsel Town.’
It’s set to be released on Sky later this year.
And after filming scenes on Kirkgate, Castlegate and Riverside in Knaresborough, crews have moved to Wetherby.
A video has emerged on YouTube of Sutherland filming scenes outside the Town Hall, whilst the town centre has been transformed into a festive set.
A brief plot synopsis has been revealed by Future Artists Entertainment, who are producing the film.
They said:
“The film is a family Christmas movie for a well-known UK distributor, and centres on Brad, a Hollywood action movie star who unexpectedly finds himself performing in the pantomime in the fictional town of Stanford.
“We have had such a lovely welcome from the local community over the last week or so, and I just wanted to extend my thanks on behalf of the cast and crew, and to reassure local residents that we don’t take such lovely hospitality for granted.”
