A search is ongoing in the Harrogate district for a missing family dog.
Cockapoo Mollie disappeared from Bewerley, near Pateley Bridge, on the evening of Monday 25th August.
The two-year-old ran away from her owner’s mother’s house at around 10.30pm and has not been seen since.
She is described as a small, timid dog who is wary of strangers and has never run away before.
Carolyn Oakley has appealed for help on behalf of her family - whilst stressing the importance of not approaching Mollie directly.
She said:
“Every sighting has made her run away so please let people know not to try and follow, call out or grab her.
“If they see her, just report on the number below as soon as you can and leave her alone and we will get onto it straight away.
“She is likely only going to come to her owner, so we need to find a location she doesn’t run away from.
“[Report] any sightings in locations in and around Pateley Bridge, Bewerley, Heathfield areas, Gouthwaite Reservoir and Ramsgill.
“We are working with a dog search and rescue team who are helping and advising us.”
Anyone with information or sightings of Mollie is urged to call 07854 109220 and report her location. Visit her Dog Lost page here.
