Ripon Community Poppy Project have created a breathtaking poppy dress with a 12-foot train, specially for this year’s Remembrance Concert at Ripon Cathedral.
The handmade dress, crafted by the group’s dedicated team of knitters, will be worn by soprano Charlotte Potter during her performance at the concert. The striking design, adorned with hundreds of handcrafted poppies, pays moving tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.
In partnership with Ripon Cathedral, this year’s concert promises to be more powerful than ever. The poppy dress will also be available for public viewing in the front window of Specsavers on the Market Place in Ripon from 15th October, allowing the wider community to admire the artistry and meaning behind the project.
Your Harrogate is proud to be the main sponsor for the evening, and co-founder of the poppy project, Stuart Martin said:
"We are extremely grateful for Your Harrogate's on-going support and a huge thanks goes to our other sponsors for the event, including MKM builders who will be sponsoring the programme and Colour It in printers who sponsor our tickets.
We appreciate the support of all our sponsors. "
