A police officer’s been taken to hospital with a serious leg injury after being knocked down by a car in Harrogate.

A police officer’s been taken to hospital with a serious leg injury after being knocked down by a car in Harrogate. It happened as he was approaching a suspicious vehicle containing three occupants on Bewerley Road, at around 3.20pm on Tuesday afternoon. The green Vauxhall Insignia hit him, knocking him over, it then made off from the scene but was found a short time later. Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident, they're aged 24, 30 and 35 and are all from Leeds. Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch with them.
