Police are appealing to the public for information about an assault that occurred in the Bilton area of Harrogate.
It happened on Thursday 26th March at about 4.20pm, at the junction of Knox Lane and Crab Lane.
Two 12-year-old children on bicycles, were stood stationary on the pavement when an unknown male approached them from the Crab Lane direction.
One of the children was assaulted, causing a minor injury. The suspect then walked off in the direction of Knox Lane.
The description given is a man, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, aged between late 30 to early 40s, wearing a light brown hooded top and long trousers.
A police spokesperson said:
