PHOTOS: Ripon BID complete deep clean of city's pavements and windows

Ripon BID (Business Improvement District) have continued their campaign to deep clean the city's alleyways, pavements and windows.

Ripon BID (Business Improvement District) have continued their campaign to deep clean the city's alleyways, pavements and windows. Over the weekend, BID members deep-cleaned Kirkgate pavements from Ripon Cathedral to Duck Hill. The team continued the cleanup on Kirkgate towards the market square, before steam cleaning and wiping down the windows, including the sills and boards. Elizabeth Faulkner is the BID's interim manager and said a deep cleaning of the city centre will begin before other plans, including networking events, are held in the New Year. Ms Faulkner, who previously managed Altrincham BID, said:

“We are aware of what has happened with other BIDs in the area. “But this is Ripon’s BID and an exciting opportunity for businesses to be part of how they would like their city to move forward. “We want as many of them as possible to get involved and the success of the BID will come from us all getting behind it.”
