Northern Gas invite Harrogate customers affected by gas leak to review incident

Northern Gas Networks are inviting Harrogate residents who were victims of a gas leak to join them in a review of the incident.

Northern Gas Networks are inviting Harrogate residents who were victims of a gas leak to join them in a review of the incident. On Friday 15th October, a sudden loss of gas supply occurred in around 3,500 homes and businesses in the Jennyfields area of Harrogate. And whilst Northern Gas assure residents this is 'rare', they are keen to reflect on what could have been done better in terms of minimising disruption and preventing reoccurrence. Speaking about the review, which will take place on 2nd December, a spokesperson said:

"During the session we’ll give a brief overview of how the incident unfolded, what support Northern Gas Networks provided to minimise disruption, and what we are now doing to make sure that an incident like this does not occur again. "There will be then be an opportunity to discuss a number of key areas, including communication, support services and working with others."
The session is aimed at: Residents and business owners in Harrogate Local councils and local authorities Local councillors MPs Emergency services and resilience leads Community groups Industry Anyone else impacted by the loss of gas supply in Harrogate The review will take place at Jennyfields Styan Community Centre on Grantley Drive from 2pm – 3.30pm on 2nd December.
