Mulgrave Properties offering "summer of relaxation" following extension to stamp duty holiday

Property developer Mulgrave Properties have announced they will be extending the stamp duty holiday to all of their properties across the area, including those valued above the government's threshold. Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced in the Budget this afternoon (Wednesday 3rd March) that the stamp duty holiday will be extended until the 30th June for all properties up to the value of £500,000. Mulgrave initially decided to extend the stamp duty holiday to all of its properties following the first government announcement in July last year. And the developers have made the decision to once again extend the offer following a hugely positive response to the initiative which saw some customers saving thousands. [caption id="attachment_7375" align="alignnone" width="2000"] The offer is available on Mulgrave properties in York, Harrogate and Markington.[/caption] The offer is now available on all Mulgrave properties in York, Harrogate and Markington up to the value of £849,950 which are ready to move into by the end of June. Following the Chancellor’s budget announcement, David Smith, Head of Sales at Mulgrave Properties, said:

“We are delighted that the Chancellor has wisely chosen to extend the stamp duty holiday. We have already seen the positive impact that the first initiative had on stimulating the property market which remained incredibly buoyant throughout 2020. Stamp duty savings enable purchasers to invest their money in other ways, often in home improvements, which in turn helps the local and wider economy. “The demand for new homes in desirable village locations shows no sign of slowing down as people continue to evaluate their lifestyles as a result of the pandemic. People are looking forward to a new “hybrid” way of working which means they can now live where they want to, rather than where they need to.”
In addition to zero stamp duty, part exchange is also available on properties ready to move into by 30 June 2021. For details of these properties, visit mulgraveproperties.co.uk Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
